Question

Two numbers on one sim

I joined id mobile in September and I now seem to have x2 numbers coming up on my sim…. people I message are receiving texts off me from both numbers but there is no consistency when it comes to which number they will receive anything from. Separately, it seems I am having issues receiving texts and calls through as I’m only sometimes able to receive them.  I’m not having any luck with your chat option as it isn’t understanding the issue / questions that I’m raising. Can anyone help with this?

How many SIM cards do you have either physical or eSIMs installed on the phone?

You can only have 1 number per SIM card.

I don't have a physical sim in my phone so just one eSIM.  I just don’t understand why I am able to make calls - to my partner for example - and my number will come up and he is able to call me back using my number and that comes through but with then with text messages my number only works some of the time and at other times he will receive a message from this other number. I’ve also tried to message a few people recently who didn’t previously have my number and this new number is coming up and sometimes when I call someone this other number appears.

Also if I check my number in the ‘Mobile Service’ section in settings it comes up with this other number.

Hey there @antonia.ash, as kindly suggested by @MZone, we’d recommend looking at the two links he’s sent and following the instructions on there, and then restarting your phone.

If the issues persist after trying the above, please let us know @antonia.ash.

Thanks,

Tyler
