unable to receive certain text messages

Had phone for 6 months, received texts from PayPal, but other numbers (multiple sender's) are not being received. 

 Sending texts all fine. Help!

Although its only some senders not being able to send you texts, it might be worth having a read and check your phone using this:

 

 

Other than that I can’t offer much more advice as you can receive certain ones and you can send them without any issues.

Is it mobile numbers that you are not receiving messages from or One Time Passwords from businesses?

SMS not being received from all mobile phones. The sender gets a non delivery report and I never get the texts (multiple persons). I can text them.. they can call me.

Here's a clue. One number did work and they ported it to an eSIM. The eSIM sends SMS to everyone on their phone book accept my iD mobile number. Maybe iD mobile blocks text messages if the metadata is different from a Lyca Mobile eSIM?

I doubt that would be a reason for this, but guess it could be.

 

What about checking this article out?

It might be worth checking the section titled Step 2 - Review your phone settings, but note the warning regarding resetting your network settings
