When does billing start?

I’ve just purchased a new phone & contract. I’m wondering when the first bill will come through for my contract? When the sim is activated? When the phone is delivered? Etc etc

Why does it start right away, when I don’t have a SIM card? that’s 10 days I’m being charged for, but can’t use the service. A bit steep, considering

Hey there @tarkac, we’re sorry you feel this way.

The first payment is due when you take out the contract, and is a payment for the month in advance for the first month.

Thanks,

Tyler

Perhaps because the iD SIM is activated at point of dispatch @tarkac, which means you’re connected to the iD network so you can use plan allowances upon receipt of iD SIM.

I have had experiences with several providers in the past, and they only start billing once the SIM is connected to their network and activated. iD Mobile's practice does not seem fair to customers.

@SamsonL While you may not find this not to be fair everything is sent out in the term's and conditions and contract. While this may not be a practice that your used to this should of also been explained by the sales staff if you were in a store or placed an order via the phone.
