Why a replacement eSIM need to be generated by live chat?

Hi,

I have bought a new phone and have been trying to get a replacement eSIM for over a week now. Do you to the nature of my job I work long hours and I am only free during night time which is when the live chat is closed. By the time I managed to get to live chat, one of the agents responded and said that there is maintenance and I need to speak later.

This is not very practical. One of the advantages of eSIM is that it should be generated whenever the customer needs a new one at anytime unlike the old physical SIMs where I need to go to the store during working hours. This means that if I lose my phone in an emergency situation at 9pm, I would need to wait 12 hours till I get another SIM.

ID should seriously reconsider this otherwise they should have not offered eSIM in the first place which was on of the reasons I switched to ID.

This is the only way at present. Hopefully iD will incorporate it to the online account/app in the future like the other major networks.
