WiFi calling not working, but enabled

My phone’s Wi-Fi calling is enabled but it doesn’t seem to be working. I can’t make any calls while connected to Wi-Fi even though there’s a signal.

I have any eSIM that operates on an iPhone 16 Pro Max running iOS 26.4

Hi @Alexbw,

Thanks for your message.

We’re very sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with Wi-Fi Calling, especially while you’re also having signal problems. We understand how frustrating this can be.

To help resolve this, please try the following steps: restart your phone, toggle Wi-Fi Calling off and back on, and reset your network settings by going to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Once done, reconnect to Wi-Fi and check if Wi-Fi Calling starts working again.

Please keep us updated, and we’ll be happy to assist further if the issue continues.

Thanks,

Kwanele

I’ve tried all the suggested solutions. WiFi calling still not reactivated.

extremely disappointing ☹️ will have to move to another provider as I rely on this for my work and must be contactable.

Hi @CMJT,

I am so sorry to hear of your ongoing issues with your WiFi calling.

  • Check your phone is fully up to date
  • Try a different WiFi network if you can
  • Make sure your phone is set to 4G or 5G, not 2G/3G
  • If possible, try your SIM in another phone to see if it works there

If it’s still not working, please let us know so that we can further investigate.

Regards,

Hi Gemma. I’m sorry to say it simply doesn’t work. I do not have another phone to try and my Wife’s phone is locked to a particular provider.

On the other solutions “Tap Reset > Reset Network Settings” does not exist in the latest IOS - only have the option to erase all content, “Reset” or Prepare for a new iPhone. No-one of which I’m prepared to risk until I hear back from ID mobile.

It is a shame the service from ID is so poor :-( So many people appear to have lost WiFi calling...

hi Gemma. It still doesn’t work - extremely disappointing ☹️ I can’t remain with ID if this is now the situation as I rely on the service for my work and cannot be reliably contacted without WiFi calling. Looks like I need to move to a more reliable provider ☹️

We are also having this issue on all 4 IDmobile phones in our house. We lost signal in our local anre about 6 months ago which still isn’t fixed. So we have been relying on WiFi calling. Which now also doesnt work and stopped about a week or 10 days ago.

to rub salt into the wound customer service told me on live chat I couldn’t get a refund until all the issues was fixed, and I’d have to apply for a refund separately on each of the 4 plans! Awful service.

Hi @hmw2

Sorry to hear that WiFi Calling is not working for you.

Have you checked with your broadband provider whether the calls and services are being routed correctly? The issue may be related to how that specific network or router is handling the connection to iD Mobile’s IMS (WiFi Calling service).

Hi - I am having this problem also on an iPhone and 2x Android phones connected to ID mobile.  Interestingly I have a work iPhone connected to Vodafone and the Wifi calling on that is working perfectly.  What is the latest status on a fix?

With the exception of wifi calling, I have been very happy with ID mobile, but as I rely on wifi calling when at home, this will be the reason I switch providers!

I also have this issue with an android device. I've tried all the items above. Nothing fixes it. Whilst I'm in the house the calls just go to VM and I get sporadic signal as I'm in a rural area. This is making ID mobile unusable in my house.
