Sticking to a daily routine of clearing up and cleaning after using stuff and ten minutes here and there for housework can help to keep your weekends free to enjoy

Tidy as you go. Dealing with the little things as you go along means you’re not faced with one huge task later on.

My best cleaning hack is bicarbonate of soda - works amazing for everything! Bicarb and white wine vinegar especially with some nice smelling fabulousa afterwards! It can be used in fridges, drains, pet clean ups because it soaks up bad smells keeping everything fresh! Its a greate stain remover. It can help unclog a drain too same way with vinegar leave it for 15 mins - hour pour hot water down the drain to flush it away! 💗

Best tip for patio stones is to be sure to use a patio pressure brush and not just the pressure sprayer. It manages to get everything clean and without spraying water everywhere too. Also uses less water for the same amount of cleaning.

Remember to take a break!  Use the 30/10 rule ie 30 minutes cleaning then a 10minute break.  By having regular breaks you’ll definitely get more done 👍

Use a mop to clean the floor - it's more effective than using your tongue, and doesn't taste bad

Microwave a bowl of water and lemon slices for five minutes. Let it sit for two more before opening; the steam loosens every bit of stuck-on grime, allowing you to wipe it clean with a single swipe.

Best cleaning hack?

Listen to something you enjoy whilst you are cleaning… makes the whole experience more enjoyable and I am less likely to rush it, so I do a better job

Keep a microfibre cloth in the bathroom and give everything in and around the sink a wipe after each use. Always looks sparkling.

What is your absolute best cleaning tip or hack?

If you need to add water, wet a little and do not worry to clean up straight away, pass again with a wet cloth, the water or the liquid you are using it normally takes time to reach the surface where the dirt is attached, so let it time and you will scratch a lot less.

As someone with ADHD, best cleaning hack is do not sit down until the cleaning is done. If I sit down I’m finished for the day.

I’m not sure it’s a hack but little and often works for me. I’m lucky enough to work from home so I do 1 job per day. Dust on Monday, hoover on Tuesday, windows and glass on Wednesday, and so on. It frees up my weekend and only takes 15-30minutes out of my day. 👍🏼

It sounds simple - but the best hacks are: Start at the highest point in the room and work down. Dust first, then surfaces, then floors. Do dry cleaning before wet cleaning so you are not turning dust into grime.
