Make a list, but don't worry if you end up doing things not on it. As long as you're getting things done, go with the flow.

WD40 on any rust, or any tough particle based stains. Its oil based so gets into the particles and breaks them down so you can wipe away.

My best cleaning tip is honestly to pay someone else to do it. I’m far from lazy but I get no enjoyment from cleaning my house!

Hydrogen peroxide and bicarbonate of soda. The old ones are the best! Can be used for a multitude of things, including teeth!

Microfibre cloths catch dust, don’t scratch, dry wet surfaces quickly, can be used for polishing etc, very versitile around the home, great for cleaning the car too. Buy 12, 24 or 36 from somewhere like Amazon in a range of colours and use different colours for different things. When you have a few that are dirty simply put them in the wash, they dry in no time.

Get or build yourself a collection of small, differently shaped brushes for cleaning places, spaces and gaps etc. that normal cleaning brushes cannot get into.

Future you will thank you for doing it!

My best cleaning tip is one of the simplest and easiest - washing up liquid. It can be used to cut through grease on hobs and worktops, take stains out of clothes and hand wash delicate items that can't go in the machine. If something isn't working, try it and you'll likely be amazed 🤩

For the cleanest windows, put a little white vinegar in water, ball up sheets of newspaper, wet and rub the window pane. They will be sparkling.

My tip is don't forget to clean your walls. It is surprising how dirty or dusty ceilings and walls get so a quick go over with low suction with your vacuum cleaner makes a massive difference and really brightens the room up!

I used bicarbonate of soda with white wine vinegar to clean stubborn burnt on particles in the oven and to spruce up the hob, grill and also my kitchen sink and worktop.

It works so much better than man made sprays and is better for the environment. A green clean! 💚🚿🧹🧽🧼🫧

Avon Skin so Soft is great to use as a furniture polish and also acts as an insect repellent so great especially in summer to keep bugs at bay! Smells fresh and clean too…

Don’t throw your old toothbrush away - use it as a cleaning aid - showers, bathrooms, sinks, tiling, taps etc  You know it makes sense!

Bicarbonate of soda and/or white vinegar is all that you'll ever need. And both are cheap. Enjoy.

If you get bird droppings dried on the car but you aren't ready to fully wash the car, soak some kitchen roll with water, place on the droppings and leave for at least 30 mins. Afterwards, simply wipe clean. All residue gone and no damage to paintwork.
