Am I allowed to say my favourite game is HALO: The Master Chief Collection? Or is that cheating, since it’s a collection of 6 previous games? If I have to chose just one game, then HALO 3.

So hard to choose just one! On PC definitely portal 1 & 2 they are so good I wish they’d make more! On console is even harder! Gta5 will always be iconic and nostalgic but I have a real soft spot for telltales the walking dead series clementine will always be up there with my favourite characters. 🥹

A lot of people saying DOOM and I have to agree, we all must be of a certain age.

My favourite videogame of all time is SSX 3, a snowboarding game from EA Sports Big.

The early 2000s were a golden era for extreme sports games, and EA knocked it out of the park with SSX in 2000. Tricky refined the original’s formula and gameplay a year later, but 3 reimagined what the game could be.

One massive mountain, three peaks. You could go from the tip of the peak on the Throne down to the bottom of Metro City without a single loading screen. For 2003, mind blowing.

The gameplay was easy to understand and get okay at, but a challenge to master. Learning the perfect lines, trick combos, and glitches to maximise your runs was so much fun. I was world record competitive (though never held a record :/ ) just from simply having fun practicing and refining.

It's a shame the series died in 2012. I still hope for a remaster of the golden trilogy of Tricky, 3, and On Tour.

Mine was Ape Escape (25 years ago on the PlayStation) trying to catch all those cheeky monkeys was great fun. Some would fight back, some could run really fast. Then there was the boss levels oh my were they hard 😂

My love of video games will ALWAYS be linked to when my sister and I got an Atari 2600 game console for Christmas (we are talking back in the early 1980’s).
The games we played often were Pac-man, Missile, Space Invaders, Pong, Combat, Asteroids and Breakout. You either used a joystick or paddle controller depending on the game you were playing.
Compared to today, the graphics were awful and the game play basic and repetitive but back in the day they were exciting and novel and hours were spent in front of the TV because there was something that was just so exciting,  innocent and joyful in these games.
These days I just don’t have the same passion for video games but to keep my mind supple and nimble I do like to play Hidden Object storyline games by developers such as Five-BN and Friendly Fox.

Whilst I do remember the joy of playing the table tennis block game in the 70’s !! I do love Nintendo Wii bowling mainly because it brings generations of family together. The enjoyment of watching grandparents bowl like they are at a bowling alley to the youngest who do it with a flick of the wrist.

Always great fun and laughter 🥰

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is my favorite game because no other open-world RPG has matched its combination of storytelling, atmosphere, and emotional depth. The world feels alive, from the war torn villages of Velen to the cities and the islands of Skellige and even small side quests feel meaningful instead of filler. I love that choices rarely have clear right or wrong answers, which makes the consequences feel real and memorable. Geralt of Rivia is also one of gaming’s best main characters because he already has history, relationships, and personality, making the story more grounded and emotional. The writing, soundtrack, characters, and expansions like The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine make it a game that stays with you long after finishing it.

Ocarina of Time is close second though.
