EU roaming problems

Hi  I have a new 2 year contract that works fine in England but on roaming in Spain I have not received Rate Advice and cannot receive calls(from home)

. Roaming is turned on on my Apple SE 13 and on the app and portal  I’ve reset network services. Booted my phone. Used all the network providers that are in the ID lists. Changed settings for 4G and 5G .   My husbands phone also on ID roams fine   I swapped sims with husband but neither phone would receive calls …. Confusing. I spent a long time on 3 x chats to live chat who encouraged me to repeat all the above tests   Three months ago we were staying in the same house with the end of my ee contract and the ee roaming was fine

Hey there @Chris352, thank you for reaching out.

Just to confirm, is the issue only with calling, both outward and inward please?

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi @Chris352,

Please can you try and connect to Yoigo and Movistar and check if connecting to any of those makes any different to the incoming calls.

Let us know how you get on and we can PM you if required.

Hi Kash I have tried incoming calls with network orange vodaphone yoigo and Movistar. None of them work. On my husbands iPhone SE later model, he has full operation on all these networks but we prefer orange as we get a more reliable signal at our holiday accommodation away from the coast

Hi everyone. The plot thickens….. I’ve just gained access to an old iphone5s which doesn’t require setting up with SIM card swaps

i put my husbands ID sim in, and it works normally. This shows the test phone is good. I then put my new I D sim in and the won’t receive calls fault moves from my phone to the test phone

suggests to me the problem is at ID ‘s end

Hi @Chris352,

If roaming works on another iD Mobile SIM it’s likely that the issue is with your SIM/number.

We’ll shortly send you a Private Message to your Community account so we can discuss your issue further.

To access your messages, click your profile picture in the top right hand corner and then click ‘Private Messages’.

Alternatively, if you are currently logged in, you can use the following link: https://community.idmobile.co.uk/inbox/overview

We’ll see you there.

Me and my wife both with new 2 year contracts also currently having this exact same issue. Currently in Spain and tried all the troubleshooting steps. It’s related to the number rather than the phone. Can you help? What was the fix for this?

Hi @Ryan McAllister

Could you let us know what troubleshooting steps you’ve tried? Unfortunately saying you’ve tried them all doesn’t tell us which ones specifically and it’s possible there’s been something missed.

Have you had no access to services whilst in Spain?

Tom

Have tried disabling and enabling roaming on my phone, switching to 4G. I’ve tried switching networks manually trying Yoigo, Orange, Vodafone and Movistar. I’ve tried resetting network settings on my phone and I’ve tried disabling roaming and international calls, waited 10 minutes then re-enabled in the ID app.

Outgoing calls and data are fine and working. Incoming calls get the message that “the person you are trying to reach will not accept this call, thank you”.

I’m pretty tech savvy and there is nothing wrong on the phone end. This is a network issue. How was it resolved for the above person?

Also worth adding that I didn’t get a rate advice text when arriving in Spain. I only switched and my number port completed the day before flying out on holiday. My wife’s number port completed 3 days prior to flying out on holiday. Both with same issue and I’ve had an ID sim previously in this same house in Spain with no issues.
