Hey there @Eric Heavisides, welcome to Community!

Do you have a new SIM card from us?

Have you checked that you’re in a 4G area?

Thank you,

I am in a 4g area but phone won't connect. I have not got a new sim card. Do I need one?

Good Morning - I have the same question about my wife’s Samsung Galaxy A10 (2019) which according to the ID phone compatible web site page is able to carry ID 4g calling but, like Eric, I can only see 3g and 2g auto-connect on mobile networks in settings.  We are definitely in a 4g (and 5g) area.  How do I enable the phone to get 4g use?  Many thanks for assistance, Julian

Hi @Eric Heavisides

You’ll need a SIM card if you don’t have one, but all our SIM cards would work on 4G so if you have one it should work.

Is your mobile data not working or is it just the Wi-Fi calling?

I went into my local Currys store this morning and a very helpful girl on the ID Mobile counter told me that my wife’s Galaxy A10 is already on 4g without having to do anything with the settings.

Hi @juliandee

Is your mobile data turned on and working at all? Can you not access the internet?

Is this just for Wi-Fi calling?

The Galagy A10 may list as 4g capable but it stopped being supported 118months ago. It therefore cannot have its software updated to work on 4g. No alternative but to select new phone contract. New  M otorola G54  on ID monthly £ 12.99.

Hi @juliandee , @Eric Heavisides

Even though you see 4G this may not be the correct option to connect to the ‘4G’ network.
You need to see ‘LTE’, for example, rather than just 4G to be able to connect to the VoLTE (4G Voice over LTE) network which is what the providers use once 3G is turned off.
Do you see an option in the settings to switch VoLTE/4G Calling on?

Please see the reply I gave in this post to see if it helps clarify the problem!

Good luck x

Have upgraded to new 4g. 5g  phone and contract.

4g coverage map shows my house and adjacent houses not able to receive 4g. Currently using wireless calling when at home.
