my current plan is a sim only plan for £7 a month.But today I decided to upgrade for phone and it costs £23 a month but the next bill is £36. why? what does this mean?thank you

Perhaps the next bill has a billing period of more than 1-month,
This can happen when you change from a SIM only to handset contract.
