Block all incoming international scam calls ?

Hi

I have recently starting receiving 2 or 3 international calls on a daily basis - mostly from various US states and always different numbers- on my Samsung S24. I do not answer and block the number as  a matter of course but  Its now becoming very irritating. Ideally I would like to block all incoming international calls. Only option I can see for blocking calls is either block all unknown numbers or blocking individual numbers.

Would really appreciate any help on this :-)

Hello @Mark1874

Thank you for getting in touch.

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue with international calls.

I believe it may be possible on some handsets to block all international calls.

Can you please confirm your handset make and model?

Thanks,

Nat

Hey there Mark, you should be able to turn off international features via logging into the iD Mobile app/website, and you should be able to go into settings and see an on/off toggle button for International.

You can also decrease your bill cap to £0.00, and this may potentially stop the calls from coming through.

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi

The app setting only block making calls - i want to block receiving them. I am currently getting a few calls a day from the united states various locations. I can only block and report individual numbers so its getting a bit tedious

HI @Mark1874

I have found this information which may help. It also might differ slightly depending on the handset but the settings should be fairly similar.

  • Firstly, begin by launching the Phone app on your Samsung device.
  • Go into the Call Settings, the three-dot menu, typically this is in the right corner of the screen.
  • Find the Call settings, or Call blocking option.
  • Then depending on the software version of your Samsung phone, you may find different options. What you want to do is look for any setting that is related to International calls, or international numbers.
  • Once you have found this, you need to turn on the option to block international calls. You may be able to add specific international numbers to block.
  • Now you have done that, save the new settings and exit the menu.

Can you please try this and let us know how you get on?

Thanks

Nat
