Brand New contract phone delivered with seal broken and box damaged

Received my ID Mobile contract phone today and the seal of the phone box is broke  and the box is damaged.

Very disappointed.

When trying to contact an agent through the live chat it constantly shuts me off or disconnects.

There is no phone number to speak to somebody to resolve this so I am currently stuck with a 'used' phone when I have signed a contract for a brand new one.

Can somebody please contact me ASAP.

If the seal on your new iD Mobile phone is broken upon delivery, this is typically due to quality control checks performed in the warehouse before dispatch. iD Mobile and retailers like Mobiles.co.uk confirm that broken seals are not uncommon and are usually not a sign of tampering or a used device.

What You Should Know:

  • No need to contact support if the seal is broken and the phone is otherwise undamaged and functional.

  • The phone is still brand new and covered under warranty.

  • If the phone is faulty or defective, you can contact iD Mobile customer services at 0333 003 7777 or visit a Currys store (as iD Mobile customers are eligible for in-store support).

Thanks for your reply.

I will await a response from an iD Mobile employee to confirm.

Hi @Sam171

Thank you for your patience. I completely understand your concern, receiving a phone with a broken seal can be worrying.

In the meantime, please keep the phone and packaging safe, and if you notice any functional issues or defects, let us know immediately so we can escalate it for a replacement if needed.
