Hi All,

Hope you can help?

I took out a contract on a phone with ID mobile, via Mobiles. Co.uk.    It’s become clear that the network coverage isn’t good enough where I regularly work and live,  so I’m cancelling the contract within the 14 day cooling off period.

When I started the contract with ID, imported in my old Vodafone number via PAC code.  I’d like to take the number with me again.

shoukd I request a PAC code from ID before returning the handset to mobiles.co uk, or do I wait until I’ve returned the phone and had confirmation that the contract is cancelled before requesting PAC code?

Hello @Mikelancs,

You should be able to do that - because you ported in your number.

But, probably best to wait for someone from iD Mobile to respond to your question.

You might also want to check the actual network status (not coverage) for your home and work postcodes using the following link:

http://www.three.co.uk/support/network_and_coverage/network_support

Because iD Mobile use three’s network in the UK, these two area might have ongoing issues due to three’s 5G ‘big-build’ project.

Anyway, good luck.

In addition, https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/returns-cancellations might have some pointers.

Hi @Mikelancs,

You’ll need to contact Mobiles.co.uk to set up the return, but if you make it clear right away you need a PAC for the number you ported in, they should have no issues getting a new PAC for you.
