Question

data usage

Hi there.

I have had my data dissappear, I had over 300GB of data last time I checked, which was probably a week ago. And just checked again tonight and it's dropped down to 55! I can't see anywhere on the app / online to check my usage to see what happened. I highly doubt i have used all that data?

Any help appreciated.

@Beccibell  Hi there there are many factors why your data is less then you think it should be.

Do you use WhatsApp, Facebook  any social networking apps?

Do you do any video streaming, including YouTube, is you device set to automatically update its OS and Play Store apps?

Are you using you device as a hotspot to connect other devices to the net?

There may be a technical issue with IDMobile service and your account details can't provide you with an actual correct data account of usage.

Have you tried to log in to your account use both the IDMobile app and a web browser? Please try with a web browser any issues get back to us.

Or try this method below.

To check your iD Mobile data allowance via text, you can call 7777 from your iD Mobile phone and select option 1, or call 0333 003 7777 from any other phone and follow the prompts.

Hi Joe.

Yes I would use social media apps but sparingly when not connected to wifi.

I wouldn't stream unless connected to WiFi.

I only hot-spot if needed, and haven't during this period.

Have logged in via browser and still says the same.

Also. Have upgraded and received a new device 2 weeks ago. Made sure that WiFi was connected during phone set up and my data usage on the new device is saying I have only used 11GB. Which feels correct to me.

It just seems like approximately 200+ GB has disappeared

Hey there @Beccibell, sorry to hear that.

What data plan were you on before upgrading, and what plan are you on now?

Please note, you lose all data rollover you had accumulated when you upgrade.

Thanks,

Tyler
