If anyone is still reading ALL of this 🙄

So today…..

Having received 2 calls so far I can only say the call quality was absolutely s… (← bad) with clicking, missed portions of the conversations - both listening and me talking, or as I answered the 2nd call it promptly dropped (and that call WAS important) so I called back - and the outgoing call was found to be totally ‘bad’ too.

That was it, I’d had enough and started looking at MVNO’s using Vodafone (and yes I’m aware Vodafone and Three are → ← (this close) to merging and whether that’s a good or bad thing, well only time will tell I guess).

Plus being a regular checker of various providers service status pages, I thought I’d check mine before requesting our PAC, and:

😮So rather than getting the ‘normal’ traffic gets heavy page I see the above. Could it possibly be that Three are finally going to do something about the signal quality here, I really do hope so, but ain’t gonna hold my breath.

Oh for fridge sake 😣

Had to revert to Wi-Fi calling during them working on improving the network, plus a while back I noticed it’s supposedly fixed (and duly noted that I no longer have the ‘normal’ slow at busy times result)

And since the fix was implemented the signal is the worst it’s ever been!!!😥

And yes I’ve restarted the phone.

And as the saying goes if it ain’t broke don’t fix it ….

…. but if it’s broke then fix it, rather than if it’s broke then break it some more.

As this signal issue nears its disappointing conclusion, this will likely be the penultimate post.

So yesterday I tried my best to try loading these very forums on my mobile outdoors and:

That’s as far as it got.

Whilst on a VoLTE call, again outdoors and had this:

Well at least the voice network type went to UMTS this time.

Waited until after 8:30pm, went outside and went to load the iD Mobile app and:

It took a few minutes of the above until it eventually presented the home screen

And gave until after midnight and carried out an outdoor speed test:

Contemplated downloading a picture of a poodle, but didn’t want to freeze to death waiting

Put my phone into service mode, plus thought I’d get some fresh air, you know just to check and:

Oh well.At least it confirms ‘things’.

Slept-walked outside to check the quiet time network signal strength:

Oh okay. Three clearly made things worse.

Then earlier (13:54) thought I know let me try loading the forums again:

Yep, defo not fixed even though the service status tells me there’s no issues for my postcode.

And one final speed, sorry crawl attempt:

If there was a competition and the winner had to get the same download and upload speed, I’d have had a fighting chance.

No idea what Three did, but something clearly is more foobared than it was before.

And only posting this up in the public domain for future reference.
