Question

i have two phone numbers on one sim

I switched over to ID mobile in August 24 & asked to carry over my original phone number. Since having my ID sim I have two phone number, my original and a new number. People can call my original number but if I call them it comes through as the other number. I am also unable to send text messages from either number & can’t delete one or the other, this has been a pain over the past few months as I can’t directly get hold of anyone as they don’t know what number I’m calling from and there is no one to speak with direct from ID mobile to help

@meggansheltonn  I'll pass this issue over to a member of staff so they can investigate this issue you've been experiencing since joining IDMobile.

Morning @meggansheltonn,

I’ve taken a look into your account. Looks like you have two iD Mobile SIMs on a 12 Month SIM Only Deal.

One was purchased on the 23rd August 2024 (Mobile Number ending in 5558, SIM Number ending in 7475).

The other was purchased on the 26th August 2024 (Mobile Number ending in 4016, SIM Number ending in 8404).

  • If you intended to have 2 SIMs with 2 different numbers:

Remove both SIMs from your phone. Pop the SIM tray back into the device. Then perform a NETWORK SETTINGS RESET. Then restart your phone. Then pop the SIMs back in the phone. This will allow you to choose which SIM you’d like to use for Calls, Texts and Data.

  • If you intended to have 1 SIM with 1 number:

If you only would like to use the 5558 number (as this is linked to your Community account, so I assume this is your Primary Number) remove the SIM with Number ending in 8404 printed on it. Unfortunately, you will not be able to cancel either contract until the expiry (25/08) as both SIMs have had usage.

If you’d like more specific steps, please let me know which Make & Model phone you are using.

Thanks.

Hello,

so I would like for the number ending in 5558 to be my primary number however the number needing 4016 belongs to my grandmother on her working phone that she uses. As she is the one who paid & changed our accounts over from three to ID mobile therefore I don’t want to cancel either of these sims.

The problem is my sim, ending in 5558 has a completely different phone number linked to it that when I text or call someone is shows as that rather than my primary phone number. On this one sim that I have there are two numbers - one ending 5558 and the other ending 6863

Thanks for confirming @meggansheltonn. In that case, please try the following:

Remove the SIM from your phone. Pop the SIM tray back into the device. Then perform a NETWORK SETTINGS RESET. Then restart your phone. Then pop the SIM back in the phone.
