Can anyone clarify for me please in easily understandable terms. I have unlimited calls and texts in my contract whilst in the UK.
1) When in EU, can I receive calls/texts for free?
2) When in EU, can I make calls/texts for free?
Thank you in advance

Hey Kathleen, you can roam in like you can at home, and use data, calls and texts as you would in the UK only when in the countries via this link, please see below:

https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/eu-roaming

If you joined/upgraded on/past 20st June 2023, you will be subject to the 30GB data fair usage policy. If your data allowances is lower than 30GB, your limit will obviously be your normal allowances, please see below:

https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/eu-roaming/fair-usage-policy

However, as of right now, we have a promotion that’s active where you can use as much data as you have within your allowances within these countries, until we say so.

You will need to enable roaming via the iD Mobile app/website and also via your phones own settings to use the phone. Please read the below for instructions on how to get set up:

Thank you,

Tyler

Your response is not in the slightest helpful. This is exactly what I can read online as I’m writing because it makes no sense to me at all.  Hence my questions above. Cutting and pasting isn’t of any use. Can you answer using simple yes or no please

Hi @Kathleen Sutherland, my above answer isn’t copy and pasted. I wrote this out to go into more detail for you to try and make it clearer, and also to help you ensure you’re ready and set up for roaming before you go abroad.

However, the simply answer to both your questions is YES, if you’re within the countries below:

https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/eu-roaming

And NO if you’re outside those countries.

Thanks,

Tyler

Is there a way to see my daily usage on the ID app? Currently all I can see is what I have left. This isn’t any use when travelling in EU as my data isn’t unlimited as travelling for 89 days in 3 months. Again no links to details already available please, just simple yes or no answer. Thanks.

Hey there @Kathleen Sutherland, NO, you cannot view daily usage.

Thanks,

Tyler

Oh my goodness. Why on earth not?  Other mobile services providers eg O2, provide this. This should be simple. How am I going to be able to monitor my mobile data usage while travelling in the EU for 90 days, as understand that due to your fair usage terms and conditions, I can only use up to 63 days. I could easily go over usage as there is not a system in place for your customers to use. I’m starting to regret moving over to ID Mobile as the systems are antiquated.  Please do pass on my feedback to the powers that be. Thank you.

Hi @Kathleen Sutherland, sorry you feel this way.

We will text you when you use 80% of your daily allowances, and also another text when you use 100% of your allowances.

Logging into the app/website will show how much data you have left to use for the month, so if you check it daily, you can easily work out how much data you had the day before to now, and therefore how much was used.

This is also showing you how much you have left, so you can avoid using more data than what’s included in your plan.

I can for sure feed this back internally either way.

Thanks,

Tyler

Thank you Tyler. The point is, I shouldn’t have to work out anything.  I should be able to log in to see my exact usage - at this exact moment, I have 235.6 GB remaining - contract for 120 GB. Renewing in 2 days, so another 120 GB will be added. The system you have in place is not customer friendly. I would like to see how much I have left in a month. You say log in and it will tell me how much I have left for the month - no it doesn’t when you are roaming, so this is total useless for your customers when they are in the EU. You kindly say that you will pass on my comments but I very much doubt anyone is actually listening and taking the action required to help customers. It isn’t rocket science. Invest the money and make it simple. Thank you.
