New SIM for iphone16

I am funding an ID mobile account for my mother. She is about to move from an iphone 6S to an iphone 16 pro max. I understand she needs a different SIM card. How do I go about requesting one to be sent to her and is there a danger of her old phone being cut off before the new one starts working?

Hi @JOHNNY100

Thanks for getting in touch with us here on the community.

If the current SIM is not longer suitable and you are keeping the number, you would just need to have a replacement SIM for the new handset.

Information on how order/pick up a new SIM can be found here

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

When I transferred numbers it allowed me to select a date to switch. The old SIM worked upto when it changed over to ID. We had no downtime of service and the change was well communicated
