no incoming calls

Hi All.
I’ve just switched and ported my old number over. I can make outgoing calls but nobody can call me.  I’ve been told a faulty sim after doing all the other things the advisor suggested. Any ideas

If today is your switching date @Stevenmav, then just a note that UK mobile number transfers don’t happen immediately.

It usually takes iD Mobile several hours or more, to fully complete the number switch to their network, from your old service provider. Sometimes iD Mobile don’t complete the number switch before 10pm.

Hi @Stevenmav,

Welcome to the Community!

If your port is set for today, please let us know if you still have issues after 10pm and we can assist you further.

It may be worth resetting your network settings and restarting the handset.

Hi my porting was yesterday and I got an email this morning saying it was successful at 9 am this morning.

I have reset my network settings on my phone 5 times today on advice from 5 advisors at id mobile

the final chat the advisor thinks it’s a faulty sim and has posted a new one.

Would you be able share who your ‘old’ service provider was, @Stevenmav

Yes activated and old number ported over. It makes calls but doesn’t receive. It’s with the technical support department now

Okay, thanks @Stevenmav

It seems switching from one MVNO to another MVNO, who’re both using the same mobile network (i.e. Three UK), sometimes proves problematic.

Hopefully the iD technical team can assist, but it may take a while.

This is over a week now with technical team. I can’t even access my pension or banking due to no two factor authentication. I’m so upset.

We are very sorry to hear of the delays @Stevenmav

What was the latest update from the technical team please?

The latest is that they have made a request to Three

Thank you.

As Three is our parent network, it means the ticket has been raised to them for investigation

.

Unfortunately, this does mean that the expected resolution time can increase as they run their checks on the network.

You can check for updates here or by using our Live Chat team.
