I want to keep my previous number but now with the e-sim it seems like I have a new number, what can I do to keep my old number ?

A PAC is a unique 9-digit code that lets you move your mobile number from one network to another.

To get a PAC, text the word PAC to 65075 whilst using the SIM from your old network.

Your PAC will then be sent to you by text. You'll need to contact your previous network if you have any issues.

Arg the link does not seem to work. This one :  https://switching.idmobile.co.uk/

Just checked it myself and it looks okay to me. You need to click on the Switching to iD Mobile and on the next screen/page click on I want to keep my number but you need the PAC first

Also note you need the transaction number - it is sent by iD when you join

So you have your number on an iD SIM and want to move that number to an iD eSIM.

If you have already received the eSIM you need to activate it @mariontriponel:

I already have a number from a Pay as you go SIM card. I am now using the e-sim card as my main one but I still want to keep the number that I have with my O2 SIM card. When I bought the e-sim with ID mobile it was written that I could keep my previous SIM number, is this correct ? If yes, how?

If previous SIM was PAYG, and esim isn’t PAYG, you can’t retain number without leaving ID network for some other network.

You then have to port back to ID with your original number; same applies to ordinary SIM’s.

With iD?

Did you open another new account?

Or did you ask for the eSIM for the above iD PAYG SIM?

but I still want to keep the number that I have with my O2 SIM card. When I bought the e-sim with ID mobile it was written that I could keep my previous SIM number,

Assuming you took out another contract, either fixed term (12/24 months) or rolling month (not PAYG) then it would have been easier to have obtained the PAC first from O2, then port this number to the eSIM.

If I’ve got the above wrong then the advice from Geluk applies.

Hi @mariontriponel

If the number you want to keep is currently with O2 and you’d like to transfer it to iD Mobile, please use the below;

You want your O2 number on iD eSIM (y/n?)

If you do, you need to obtain a PAC from O2, then use the link posted by Tom to bring this number to iD on your eSIM.

Hi @mariontriponel

Okay, if you’d like to bring a number from O2 to iD Mobile please request a PAC code from O2 and use the above linked port form to begin your transfer.

Hi @mariontriponel

A PAC code is something you’d ask your previous provider for so that we can move your number from them to ourselves.

It’ll begin with 3 letters and then 6 numbers (ABC123456)
