Pay Monthly to SIM Only

My contract runs out in May. I can upgrade in March. I’ve seen many posts here saying to go from Pay Monthly to SIM Only you have to leave iD and then come back. This seems a bit backwards to go forwards

Does anyone know if this is still the case? I also understand if I don’t cancel I will continue to pay my full contract price which I certainly do not want to do.

Any help, advice or guidance on this would be great as money has never been so tight.

If you're happy with your phone but just want a new plan, you might be able to do a Plan Change. You can learn more about Plan Changes in the article below:

Thank you for this. I’ve never changed plans yet only ever upgraded. I assume they will be on the same price point as the sim only plans?

No idea I’m afraid as haven’t had the option yet myself. I should imagine they will be roughly the same as what’s on the iD mobile web page at the time.

When it comes to upgrade, you should be able to upgrade to a SIM only plan via the “Upgrades” or “Plan Change” tab on the iD Mobile app/website, for sure.

 

If however, for some reason this doesn’t show up once you’re eligible, you can call our sales team on 02071391397 between 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday, who can assist further in doing so for you.
