I’m in France and trying to call 0800 number in UK and getting this message. I’ve looked at how to access premium features and I have no clue - my bill cap is set to £50 so I’m not sure why I cannot do this. It is an urgent situation, please help.

Alas @Chrissiemungus1, not all UK zero tariff numbers can be called from abroad.

Check the website of the company using the 0800 you trying to call from France - many provide an alternative number to use when calling from overseas.

There is no alternative number for this one, I’ve checked and my premium features are turned on. It’s not ideal.

Unfortunately @Chrissiemungus1, many UK 0800 zero tariff numbers simply don’t work when you call them from abroad.

UK mobile service providers aren’t allowed to classify UK 0800 numbers as a premium service.

Thank you for coming back to me so quickly - I don’t understand how some do and some don’t. That is extremely odd. Luckily I have a french sim card as well, and it just so happened when I tried to call from the french sim it worked. Now that is extremely frustrating, that a UK sim wouldn’t do it but a french one would.
