Spam & Number Change

I've had two numbers for the past 20 years and don’t want to lose them. However, due to the high volume of spam calls I've been receiving recently, I’d like to change my number.

Would it be possible to keep my account, change my current number, and move my existing numbers to PAYG? Also, can ID provide me with an easy-to-remember number, as this is why I’ve held on to my other two?

I know you can pay £25 to change your number (you don’t get a choice on the number and get a random one) but not sure if they are able to give you a PAC code to transfer the existing number to another provider.

Probably best to check this by using the iD online Live Chat service, to speak to a customer adviser @Ciarán Ó'Baoighill.

The advisers work until 6pm on weekends - just tell the 24/7 chatbot you’d like to “talk to a person”.

Hello, super helpful. Thanks. I'm out of contract on a SIMO, so may as well shut down and restart on a new number. Thanks so much for the advice.

If you want to keep the number remember to request a PAC code from iD and don’t just cancel it otherwise you will lose the number.

Hi @Ciarán Ó'Baoighill,

If you would like to purchase a new contract you can look at a triangle port as we are unable to move the iD Mobile number from one account to another.
