I have switched my ID contract to a pay as you go SIM but the switch doesn’t my seem to have happened. How do I link up my ID account to the new it as you go sim so that it replaces the monthly contract?

Hi @Rhianm

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

I'm sorry to hear that your switch to a Pay As You Go SIM hasn't gone through as expected. Could you please confirm if you have received any confirmation that the switch was completed?

Thank you,

Zandile

No, I think when I clicked on the sim only option is took me to a new page and logged me out of my ID account so I don’t think it has connected. Can this now happen or should I cancel my old contract?

Hi @Rhianm

Thank you for getting back to us.

We're sorry for any confusion caused.

From what you've described, it doesn't sound like the SIM Only upgrade has been connected to your existing account. Please do not cancel your current contract if you wish to keep your existing number.

Please note that it isn't possible to change your contract to Pay As You Go. If you want to keep your existing number and reduce your monthly cost, you'll need to upgrade to a SIM Only contract.

SIM Only upgrade offers become available 24 days before your current contract end date. If you're within this eligibility window, you can view the available SIM Only upgrade options by logging into the iD Mobile app.

If you're not yet within the 24-day upgrade window, the SIM Only upgrade option won't be available until you become eligible.

You can contact our Sales Team via:

They'll be happy to look into the issue with the offer and discuss the upgrade options available to you.
