Hi @Meliar,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble sending and receiving text messages after moving your iD Mobile SIM to your new Android phone.

Could you try the following steps:

  • Restart your phone.
  • Remove the SIM card, wait a minute, then reinsert it.
  • Check that Airplane Mode is turned off.
  • Make sure your phone's software is up to date.
  • Ensure the correct SIM is selected for texts if your phone supports dual SIMs.
  • Reset your network settings.

To reset network settings on Android:

  • Open Settings.
  • Tap General Management or System.
  • Select Reset.
  • Tap Reset Mobile Network Settings or Reset Network Settings.

If you're using Google Messages with RCS Chat, try turning RCS off and back on:

  • Open Google Messages.
  • Tap your profile picture.
  • Select Messages settings.
  • Tap RCS chats.
  • Turn RCS off, wait a few minutes, then turn it back on.

It would also be useful to know:

  • Can you make and receive calls?
  • Are you unable to send and receive texts with all numbers, or only some?

If the issue continues after trying the above steps, we'd recommend contacting our Customer Service Team via Live Chat so they can run some checks and arrange a replacement SIM for testing if needed: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat
