Just a long shot!!

Since switching from Smarty (O2) yesterday my WhatsApp gifs (my other phone information removed) are only available in Spanish,  any helpful suggestions please. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it, settings on phone and tablet are set to English

Hi @Gill Green

I’m unsure why this would be, it’ll be worth checking your app language settings as @MZone suggests.

Thanks both, I appreciate but don't understand your responses as I did state that I had check languages.

But, I am impressed with iD's customer service and fault finding. Hopefully with the receipt if a new sim the issue will be resolved 😉

The SIM has nothing to do with WhatsApp gif’s been Spanish. What model phone handset are you using?

WhatsApp is available in over 40 languages on iPhone and up to 60 on Android.

WhatsApp follows the language of your phone. For example, if you change the language of your phone to Spanish, WhatsApp will be in Spanish.

Change your phone's language

  1. Go to your phone's Settings.
  2. Tap Language.
  3. Tap a language.

Change your language in WhatsApp

If you're using an Android, you might be able to change WhatsApp's language from the app. You can choose your language on the Welcome screen or, if you’re already using WhatsApp:

  1. Tap

    more options

     > Settings > App Language
  2. Tap a language.

Note: Can't see this feature? It might not be supported in your country or region.

Please also edit your original post and remove your mobile number as this is a public forum.

I've just read your last message to me please advise me how I edit my original post and remove telephone number. I am new to iD Mobile and didn't realise it was a public forum. Thanks so much for your help

Great service from iD, only issue is that it was suggested I removed telephone number but I didn't have 3 dots under message. They have appeared now but I have to leave the site. Sorry, if I appear thick....somewhat confused 😕

I have reported it so a mod will remove your number from the post if you are unable to.

I was GOT!! But vigilance got the better of the perpetrator ....thank goodness for TV scammer programmes.

Folks reading this beware of scammers....my fault for initially leaving my phone number.

Oh, the naivety of us of a certain age!!
