Hi there,

Landed in Geneva, but now in France. Turned phone off and on to make sure not on swiss network - originally said in Switzerland but now had the welcome to France message. Says can use plan as usual as is a free roaming country. Have 120 GB data allowance (SIM only). Plenty of data left.  Been browsing as travel to Lea Gets, but texts say I'm being charged and up to 80% of my bill cap?!?

Don't know why being charged for data use. Would like to make sure I don't get charged as shouldn't be, but can't speak to anyone

Any help greatly appreciated

Thanks

Sounds like you connected to a Swiss network after landing in Geneva, @Oven121

Unfortunately, Switzerland is not an EU destination and is not included in your UK plan allowances.

If the phone with your iD SIM is a smartphone, with lots of apps installed and running, the apps probably used some mobile data while connected to a Swiss network.

Hi @Oven121

I’d recommend the same as @andewhite above, it’s possible you connected to a Swiss network and therefore have been charged for any usage whilst connected to it, as usage in Switzerland is chargeable as extra.
