Paid my monthly bill twice!


Hi

I received a text saying that my monthly bill could not be taken from my bank account - I have just changed the bank so it didn’t surprise me.  I paid with a debit card but then a couple of days later the same amount was taken from my bank by direct debit.  Essentially, I have paid the bill twice.

What will happen now?

Pretty sure your account will be in credit so when your next bill is generated it will be less to pay.

I’ve had the same scenario happen to me. Paid the bill twice and it’s still saying I have an outstanding balance. Who do I contact regarding this issue?

Probably best to resolve this issue by using the iD online Live Chat service, to speak to a customer adviser ​@LAITHED   

The advisers work until 8pm on weekdays and 6pm on weekends - just tell the 24/7 chatbot you’d like to “talk to a person”.
