PAYG account being charged to my Monthly account

Hi.

Not sure why but if I use my PAYG number I'm being charged to my Monthly number.

I've been charged for premium rate text messages which should of come out of my PAYG account.

I have switched the dual sim when using PAYG so not sure what's going on.

Any help please.

Thanks.

Hey there @Mastersb, sorry to hear that. Billing shouldn’t be linked between any two accounts at all.

Do you have both iD SIM cards in your device at once, the PAYG and pay monthly one?

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi.

Yes both sims are in s25. I do switch sims (not physically) when using messaging for PAYG

Hey there @Mastersb, if both SIM’s are in the device, then the normal texts must be sending via the pay monthly SIM/number somehow, instead of the PAYG.

If there’s a contract that you don’t wish to use out of contract charges for, I’d recommend setting that one’s bill cap to £0.00, which will stop the charges from happening and the text from sending from that specific number.

Thanks,

Tyler

Ok thanks.

On my old phone I could just toggle between the sims to use, when you pull down the home screen, with no issue.. This phone has the exact same option. Not sure why its not switching the sims, even though it shows the sim changed.

No problem at all @Mastersb, and sorry about that. I’d definitely advise changing to bill cap on the one you don’t want charges from, just to stop it from happening altogether.

Thanks,

Tyler

Thanks for your help.

I've changed my Monthly account to not allow premium rates via "manage id services" on the app. Can't see how to change spend cap but hopefully that works.
