Hi. Had the same problem with my I phone. This what I had to do. Go to Settings then going to phone settings and enter your phone number in? It worked for me . Good luck . Switch off then back on

Seems to be an intermittent issue with ID Mobiles SMS outgoing system.
Unable to delivery sms messages

I had same the other night around 10:30 I thought it was a network glitch couldn't send any text's, so put wifi calling on and same issue no resolve, making and receiving calls was working okay.

Could text myself, obviously that's going to work it just loops back, silly test really no idea why I even mentioned that little nugget.

Wasn't going to start messing resetting, defaulting or wiping anything as nothing has changed.
Why should we reset and system restore unnecessarily...? These can be just as infuriating as the issue especially when there is still no resolve at the end of the process.

Airplane mode and turning the mobile off and back on had little to no effect what so ever.
By the morning texting was back to normal.

I have an Iphone on iOS 12.3.1

Would like to here from anyone else having this intermittent issue

@Sketchro
This is one of the most annoying issues facing current technologies things that should be automatic, MY NUMBER should change to whatever your number is... yet it is left to the user to sort it out!

Back in the day older mobiles would pick up MY NUMBER from the sim card and just do it, nowadays its left to chance.

This isn't my issue I just checked MY NUMBER after seeing your comment and it's showing as the correct number, thumbs up to you for spotting this!

Has lasted for 3 days now.  Tried again just now.  It happens from various positions.

Turned phone on/off + cleaned sim card.  Ken

I'm pleased to recommend BILL, a private hacker for any hacking related issues of your interest. I''m so glad i got in contact with Bill, He is also into various jobs such as Facebook hacking, whats-app hacking, phone hacking, snapchat, Instagram, we-chat, phone text messages, hangouts and so on.. You can contact him by email: billhackwizard @ gmail .com, text him on: +1(314) 230-8385, you can also chat him up on whats-app:- +1(314) 635 7319., you should contact him today and see for yourself, remember to tell him Sofia referred you.

@Sketchro Late in the day, I know, but I was having a similar problem and your clue (thanks) helped me sort it. Outgoing text messages claimed not to be received but I appear to have resolved the problem by manually correcting the phone number under Settings Phone to my ported number. I then got a complaint from the text recipient that I’d sent him the same message 10 times, so they obviously were going! 🤯

Sorry, just for clarity, I should have said that messages were claimed not to be delivered

Hey @Questor18, regarding messages being sent multiple times: if this persists, please perform the following steps.

1) Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)

2) Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)

3) Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.

4) If it is not correct, please enter the correct number

5) Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)

6) Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”.

Let us know how you get on!

Thank you,

Rory

Thanks @Rory. I concluded that the multiple sent texts were as a result of me keep trying to send the same message while I was getting ‘message not delivered’ warnings, but I have followed your instructions with iMessage to make sure my phone is set up correctly. Hopefully all sorted now. Thanks for your advice
