Question

Bad signal so not receiving calls

  • Active Contributor

People have been trying to ring me for over a week whilst at my home address and it’s just going straight to Answermachine which is not good given this includes hospital appointments- I’ve used the check and it states there’s an issue in the area - great !
no details of how long it’ll be going on for so my question is what can I do about this or how can I find out about compensation as obviously having a phone I can’t receive calls on when I’m at home is pretty inconvenient, especially as I work from home !

Hey there @PP19, sorry to hear that.

What’s your full postcode and what phone do you have please?

Do you only have the issue at home?

Thanks,

Tyler

I have an iPhone 15 plus 128gb. postcode PL34NY

I have done a reset - twice , switched it in and off, can’t take a SIM out as there is none

This has been going on at home for 2 weeks, phone doesn’t ring and I just suddenly get a message telling em I have VM, I can’t ring out and I need my phone because I have an ill elderly mother and WFH.

its a standard basic requirement. Needless to say if anything happens to my mother whilst this issue goes on and isn’t dealt with I will be processing legal proceedings

Hello @PP19

Thanks for getting back to us.

I have ran a check on the postcode provided and no known issues have been detected.

Can you please try a manual network reset?

  • Step 1: Open the Settings App
  • Step 2: Tap on ‘General’
  • Step 3: Scroll Down and Tap on ‘Reset’
  • Step 4: Tap on ‘Reset Network Settings’
  • Step 5: Enter Your Passcode and Confirm

Thanks

Thank you for confirming.

Can you please check the handset settings and make sure any previous eSIM’s are deleted.

Please ensure ensure your SIM tray is empty of any previous SIM’s.

Thanks,

Natalie

No SIMS in the tray as this is a new phone that you sent me and no other ESIMs.

what I don’t understand is why 2 weeks ago I could get calls no problem and now there’s an issue when nothing has changed ?

Thank you.

Are you not able to receive any calls at all or is this an issue with certain numbers/networks contacting you?

If you wish, we can send you a private message to look in to this further?

Thanks,

Natalie

No calls at all - today I have had 3 calls all from different numbers - inc landline, phone has not rung once and when I go to access the Answermachine I can’t even ring that unless I physically leave my house
