Calls to Customer Service Centres - cannot hear me

Whenever I make a call to a customer service centre, they cannot hear me; the connection is terrible. But if they call me back it's absolutely fine. It's not the phone.When I make calls to private phone numbers, I have no problems. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be?? 🤷🏻♀️ Thanks
