Connection but no Internet when moving SIM to new phone

I recently got a new phone because the one with my contract broke. I moved the SIM to the new phone, and I can't get internet. Calls and texts work fine but data doesn't work - it says I have 3g internet at the top but never 4g. 

 

If it changes anything, I'm in Italy. But the same SIM worked fine on my old phone here. The new phone should be 4g compatible so I don't know what the problem is!

    Is the phone 4g compatible? Have you tried manually roaming on a different network rather than using automatic.

    Was roaming working okay previously, and how long have you been in Italy?
