huge delay on calls

i am still having the issue of a delay on calls. This has been happening for several months now. Doesnt matter where I am or how much signal I have, the other person can't hear my voice for 3-5 seconds after I start talking and 70% of the time my calls just drop out.

Hello @Louie1976

Thank you for getting in touch.

We are very sorry to hear you are experiencing issues when making calls and experiencing a delay with the connection.

Is this happening in any particular area or all over? Also, can you please confirm your handset make and model.

Please also disregard the reply from IAMANKURJAIN, this person is not associated with us.

We will never ask you to disclose your information on a public thread and if you are ever in doubt, please check the user bio to confirm they are an employee.

Thanks,

Hello yes I realised he is likely a scammer.

So, I was previously with three uk which is also ran by id mobile and I had exactly the same issue and this was a completely different handset. When I had this issue I lived at BL09NQ. when I took out the new contract with ID the issue persisted even though I have now moved to BB50HE and also have a completely new handset. It doesn't matter where I am, outside or inside, wifi calling or no WiFi calling, the problem persists.

The issue has been happening since I joined. Previously I was with three network on a different device and had the exact same issue. It happens wherever I go. Apologies I have already replied with this information once but I don't think it pisted.

I have exactly the same issue for months now, it’s defiantly an iD / three issue as swapping the sims with another phone (Main Phone is a One+ 12 and Work Phone is a Motorola G31) transfers the problem, I have turned off Wi-Fi calling to see if that fixes the issue and it makes no difference (I didn’t think it would as I have the problem all across Stafford not just when I’m at home). It’s an intermittent problem but I haven’t had it in any of the other cities I’ve been in recently (York, Birmingham, Glasgow, London, Plymouth).

Hi @Louie1976

Okay, it sounds like it could be a general coverage issue, if you had the same issue with Three UK, it’s likely you’d have the same issue with us, we operate sharing the same signal network.

Have you tried a replacement SIM card?

Tom

Hi @TimS1980

Sorry to hear this, have you tried a replacement SIM card?

Only swapping with my work O2 SIM. It seems odd that it's location specific if its linked to the SIM.

Hello yes I've also tried a replacement sim when I was on three network. It's been like this for 2 years nearly now and is getting ridiculous.

I also have the same issue. I receive a call, and suffer a lag on my voice reaching the caller of about 3-5 seconds.   I don’t believe I am on Wifi calling as 5G is displayed.  It is a new iPhone 16e and a digital SIM.

Hi @dougmountain

Does this happen with every call and everywhere you’ve tried a call?
