What is the point in having a mobile phone which does not connext calls away from the house?!?!?

I can only make and accept wifi calls, when I step away from the house my phone goes to no service/ emergency calls only or not registered on the network.

I've had a new sim bit this did not make any difference.

I've reset my phone, still the same.

I went via customer service and was told that they will raise a complaint but heard nothing for over 2 weeks, so that was pointless…

I cannot get anyone to help...and they want over £600 for me to leave!!

My job takes me on the road and I cannot make or receive calls so for me this is a safety issue also!

Absolutely joke. If my business didnt deliver the service the client doesn't pay...but I still have to pay for this service which I cannot get?!?!

So poor and no help from no-one

The chat guys are useless, I basically got asked what is it I wanted them to do! I suggested trying a new Sim but they were more interested is getting a complaint logged and getting the chat closed. Presumably they are paid or targeted on so many chats per day and they need to keep their quotas up!!!

Hi @MAMCC75  and  @Nosierosie1

I am very sorry to hear of the issues you have had with your coverage and in contacting us.

Have you both had complaints logged? If so, our Complaints Team will take this over and will be in contact with you to try and resolve the matter for you.

If you would like us to look into things from here, we certainly can; however if our Complaints Team do get in touch it would be better to discuss the matter with one team to avoid any confusion.

Yes I have logged complaint, which you would know if you read my initial post!!!

I would happy speak to your complaints team if they make contact, however good luck in calling me to discuss as MY PHONE DOES NOT MAkE AND RECEIVE CALLS!!!

All I wnat to do is leave ID mobile ans go with a reputable provider....I will never use any company outside of Voda / O2 or EE again.

Hi @MAMCC75

Are you sure your iD Mobile SIM is selected in the device settings as the one to make/receive calls?

If you’ve already raised a complaint, then we’d recommend continuing with the complaints team directly.

Could you BE any more patronising in your response Tom?

Equally I would welcome to continue this with the complaints team but despite my efforts and chasers, I have heard nothing from them.…

This might be due to the fact that I CANNOT MAKE OR RECIEVE CALLS!!!! W

What part of this issue is so hard to understand?

If the complaints team are reading this, I will be at home on my wifi from 6pm this evening (05/08/25) therefore I will be contactable.... I'd welcome a call...

Hi there @MAMCC75, we’re sorry you feel this way, and we certainly didn’t mean for it come across that way. The complaints team are a different team, so wouldn’t be reading this thread right now I’m afraid, as we’re the Community team.

The complaints team will get back in touch with you as soon as they have further updates to give, or you can chase them yourself via the number on this link:

Thanks,

Hi @MAMCC75

Sounds to me, as a casual observer, that you have Voice over WiFi enabled and working but not Voice over LTE. Something I didn’t know until recently is that “4G” (as originally rolled out) is a *data only* system and that 4G phones would “fall back” to 3G for voice. The 4G system eventually incorporated two mechanisms to give voice calls over the 4G data network: Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Voice over WiFi (VoWiFi). EE and Three have now turned off their 3G systems (and O2 to follow at the end of the year) and some people with previously-working 4G phones without VoLTE enabled are seeing a loss of voice connectivity.

Because of this background not all 4G phones have VoLTE, or a network-compatible VoLTE configuration built-in.

May not be your problem but perhaps worth looking into?
