Terrible data signal - can I get out of contract?

I've been with ID mobile for 6 months now and the issues with signal wherever I am is just getting so frustrating now. I've looked into switching to another service but it's telling me I'll have to pay £49.99 to leave! Because I'm wanting to leave due to poor service, is there a way out of this fee?

Unfortunately @AlexSW, you’ll find there are many caveats in the iD contract terms about not be able to guarantee perfect services, all of the time, wherever you are - just like most other UK mobile operators.

Hi @AlexSW

I’m sorry to hear this, if issues are found absolutely everywhere this could be an issue with your device and not the coverage itself, coverage would be very different across different locations.

Have you tried your SIM card in another handset?

Tom

I have issues constantly, can't use Internet often it's extremely frustrating and a waste of money!

Hey there @Looloo83, we're very sorry to hear you're having issues with coverage.

Please take a look at our coverage checker, which will show you what your signal strength should be like in your area, for all of 3G/4G/5G, for both indoors and outdoors.

Furthermore, please take a look at our network partner Three's network status checker, which will show if there is any maintenance or performance upgrades going on in your area. If the website states that's the case, then it's likely that this is disrupting your coverage, and we hope that this is resolved soon for you.

Please take a look at both of these. If you believe you should be experiencing better signal than you are, or if the networks status checker on Three's website isn't showing any upgrades or maintenance, then please do let us know or contact us via our live-chat:

Please also try restarting your phone, and resetting network settings.

Thanks,

Tyler
