Unable to make or receive calls


This is really odd and I have gone through several methods of rectifying this issue but to no avail.

Initially, I requested a new SIM card, which did not resolve the issue.

Then I went to the Genius bar at Apple (it is an Apple 13) who confirmed there were no hardware of software issues. The software was also up-to-date.

I reset Network Settings and it still did not resolve the issue. I am only able to temporarily resolve the issue (for an hour or so) by switching the device off and back on. Then it reverts back to the issue.

Can anyone please offer help on this issue?

There is currently degradation to 3G and 4G voice calls. 3UK engineers are investigating the issue. For the latest updates, please check our Service Status page.

Have you recently joined us or switched your number over to us at all?

 

When you go into phone settings, is your phone number showing correctly?

Hi Tyler,

Texts and data sometimes do not work but most of the time they work whilst voice is not active. So i doubt it is related.

I have been with iD for a couple of years.

And number is shown correctly.

Does the number show as starting with +44 and not 0? For example +447123456789?

Texts and data sometimes do not work but most of the time they work whilst voice is not active. So i doubt it is related.

 

You may find it is related.

What could be happening (as I too plus others have the same thing) is that for the most part your phone is connecting to 4G and the texts and data work just fine.

But then you’re on a call and things stop working until the call has ended - it sounds like your phone is likely dropping to 3G whilst on a call (taking the data down to 3G with it) and this could be causing the issue.

So what to do, I’m not up on iPhones but set the phone to use 4G only and see if things improve, stay the same or get better. Hopefully it does get better 🤞

I’ve just lost the ability to make or receive network calls, but WhatsApp and FaceTime both work.

I cannot receive or make calls in Warrington area. I need to confirm an appointment that I have been waiting since March last year. ID mobile you are very bad.

I have tried all of the trouble shooting advice but still cannot make/receive calls. I have had several missed calls and people are telling me they are leaving messages but I can’t call voicemail to hear them

What do I do next?
