DPD returned to currys

Evening, I missed my delivery yesterday, DPD haven’t attempted to redeliver the following day. It now says that the item is being processed for return to curry’s.

how do I stop this and get the item delivered to me?

 

any help would be appreciated.

Hi ​@Natalie W, I made contact with customer service via the live chat and explained the situation, the person at the customer service team have arranged for the item to be shipped out back to me upon its return to the warehouse.

I’m now just waiting for notification of this.

Unfortunately ​@DCJ1980, it’s too late to prevent your order item being returned to Currys. 

What did DPD say?

Hi ​@andewhite. They haven’t said anything, I just checked to see what the delivery status was after it wasn’t sent out for delivery today, it now says return to consignor has been requested.

their bot response system says it can’t explain why a request has been made.

DPD have been okay delivering to my location, ​@DCJ1980

Unfortunately, like yourself, others have posted about poor delivery services from DPD.

You’ll get a refund after the return has been processed by iD.

@andewhite the delivery location was fine, DPD arrived there before the delivery slot, which was why I missed the delivery.

i just don’t understand why they failed to deliver the item the following day and now it states return to curry’s as I’ve not requested this.

We are very sorry to hear this has happened. 

Unfortunately, if the order is being returned, we would need to wait for this to reach our warehouse in order to take any action. 

Once the return has been processed, the account would automatically be cancelled.
