Hi I am trying to change my frequency from 5ghz to 2.5 ghz to connect to a smart device but I'm not sure how to change it on the Google pixel 6 pro mobile?

You shouldn’t need to change anything on your handset @Jean Meynell.

Your Pixel should use the correct frequency to connect, but you may need to choose the authentication protocol (on your Pixel), used by the smart device.

Good luck @Jean Meynell.

Okay @Jean Meynell, I’ve assumed you’re using your home Wi-Fi in this scenario?

If yes, then you may need to setup two separate Wi-Fi networks on your Wi-Fi router at home.

Each Wi-Fi network - one for 2.5 Ghz, and one for 5 GHz - should be setup with it’s own SSID (network name), so for example:

“MyHomeWiFi” - the SSID for 2.5 Ghz Wi-Fi network.

“MyHomeWiFi_5” - the SSID for 5 GHz Wi-Fi network.

Good luck @Jean Meynell
