Hi @AWig

Sorry to hear this, if this message pops up, it may be worth trying again later.

Alternatively, we have support on Facebook and Twitter, or even here.

Unfortunately @AWig, seems that happens with Live Chat from time-to-time.

Perhaps try sending a private message to iD support using Facebook Messenger. You can also use X (formerly Twitter) to do this.

In my experience, the iD advisers on social media don’t use a script to assist customers.

Disappointed

How do you contact customer services - not everyone uses social media.

What about Live chat. Its on a webpage, just allow all cookies and permit popups.

But I too don’t do those Socials either.

Can I reuse a SIM card that was previously allocated to another mobile number?

@Stevenbon

Yes you could. But that other number would still need to be available on that SIM. And by that I mean if the number has been in use then it should still be live.

However, with iD, any number not used on an active account would probably stay available to that SIM for 30 days. After this time the number is released and recycled. Other service providers may (they used to anyway) keep old numbers for up to 6 months before recycling theirs.

iD PAYG SIMs might stay live for longer with iD - if they do I’d have to guess 6 months.

But if you mean you liked the number allocated by iD to that SIM and you ported your number to that SIM and now want the provisional number, you’d be too late.

Hi @Stevenbon

That depends what state the SIM card is now, if the number was moved from it via PAC code the SIM card would be disconnected.

If you can let us know a bit more about the last time you used the SIM or how it came to be it stopped being used, we might be able to give a little more info.

In any case, if you need a replacement SIM card for an active plan, you’ll be able to get one for free;
