My pac code doesn’t expire until 2/1/2025. I have been told I need to get a new one

Just to point something out.

The PAC will be delayed due to Christmas

Give us your PAC or STAC by Switching Date
Friday 20th December before 5:30pm Monday 23rd December
Saturday 21st December before 5:30pm Friday 27th December
Sunday 22nd December before 5:30pm
Monday 23rd December before 5:30pm
Tuesday 24th December before 5:30pm Monday 30th December
Wednesday 25th December before 5:30pm
Thursday 26th December before 5:30pm
Friday 27th December before 5:30pm
Saturday 28th December before 5:30pm Thursday 2nd January
Sunday 29th December before 5:30pm
Monday 30th December before 5:30pm
Tuesday 31st December before 5:30pm Friday 3rd January

So you seeing the message its already been used will likely mean its in the ‘to do pile’.

Hi @Mo1

Once you have been given a PAC code then it will be valid for 30 days.
Who informed you that you need a new one and why?

Even if you asked for a new one there should be no problems as the unused one will just expire.

Still unhappy with ID. Tried my new pac code and a message says I have already used it. It is the first time.

do I now have to wait to get a message to says it’s been done on 31/12/2025?

You can request as many PAC codes as you wish as they just automatically expire after 30 days if not used.
Unfortunately I don’t understand how a new PAC code can be ‘already used’ unless your number/service is in the process of being transferred. The service you currently have shouldn’t shut off until it is transferred over to the new provider.
It may be worth requesting another new PAC code and then contacting the Live Chat with it so that you have visual confirmation from an adviser that it has gone through and you will swapped over.
https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat
Just type ‘talk to a person’ in the box at the bottom of the chat so that you get connected to an adviser rather than having to go through endless questions and getting nowhere.
PLEASE be aware that it may take some time to get a conversation started as the advisers handle many chats at a time and this also means that replies are not always instant.
Good luck x
