Hey @Matthew T

I have just joined ID and have exactly the same problem with RCS chat messages, have gone through all the procedures in the guidance you linked but still have the original ID number in RCS chat rather than my ported number.

Phone is Huawei p30 pro running latest update.

Any help with this problem would be great.

Cheers

@PaulAB -

Can I suggest turning off RCS for 48 hours, then turning it back on after. I’ve seen this work for other users. If it still doesn’t work after that, request replacement SIM or eSIM. Thanks.

@Matthew T hi, turned off RCS chats from Friday till today, so 3 days.

Just turned RCS chats back on, re booted phone and it's still the same original number rather than my ported number, I'm stumped now 😕.

@Matthew T managed to get it taking the ported number today by turning RCS chats of then going to Apps - messages and delete cache & data. Then re boot then enable RCS chat then disable it and re delete cache and data repeated these steps 3 times with re boots each time. Third time was the charm and now displaying the ported number.

Hi @Tasker

You’ve tried all the above, correct?

Have you tried turning off RCS for a few days and then back on?

Tom
