signal stopped following porting number from EE

I changed over from EE to a new ID Mobile account with e-sim. 
 

all went well for first day or two until the actual porting date. Was receiving calls and texts on the number I ported over from EE. Now, suddenly, there is no ID Mobile signal to be had on my new iPhone. 

I see other people have recently reported this problem and have struggled to find a solution. 
 

tried all the usual things like turning phone off and on etc.

Sorry to hear this, did you have both the iD Mobile SIM activate and the EE SIM active in the same device at the same time?

 

It may be worth removing all SIMs/eSIMs from your device in the device settings and then using a replacement SIM card.
