Hi all, I am currently on a SIM only monthly plan with iD, but I want to get a new phone on contract with iD as the network. If I purchase an ‘Upgrade’ contract from somewhere like Carphone Warehouse, with iD as the network provider, will I keep my current phone number?

+22If it’s classed as a network upgrade you will keep the same number and SIM and just put it into the new handset.
If it’s a new connection with a new number then you will have to give 30 days notice to cancel your existing iD (may be subject to early termination fees if still in contract)
You won’t be able to transfer your old number from iD to a new iD connection directly and if you wanted to keep your number you would have to port it to another network PAYG SIM and then port it back again.
Have you checked your upgrade options on the app?

I have the same problem , tried to get a phone contract through car phone warehouse and was declined on my credit check, I have never been declined and I’m not in debt only to my mortgage. I currently have a ID pay as you go sim only contract so I don’t understand why I have been declined. My upgrade date is April but my old phone is on its last legs. Need help

Sorry to hear you failed the credit check, unfortunately there won’t be anything we can change for that, it may be worth considering SIM free device options.
