new plan bought externally

My ID mobile contract has just ended. However, the best deal was not available to me via the upgrade service so I bought the best deal on a comparison website instead. I am therefore not 'switching' to ID mobile and have not upgraded through them but will still be with ID mobile. How can I keep my mobile number? Everywhere says that I can't use a PAC code as my number is already registered with ID mobile. Thanks

Triangle Port Explanation

A triangle port is a process used when transferring a number from one iD Mobile plan to another, as it's not possible to do so directly.

Steps Involved

  1. Port Out: The number needs to be ported out to another network, typically a pay-as-you-go SIM.
  2. Port Back: After porting out, the number can then be ported back to the iD Mobile network.

Recommended Networks for Triangle Port

  • Asda: Mentioned as a popular option that does not require a large top-up or minimum term.
  • Three: Also recommended for the same reasons as Asda.
  • EE: Used by a user for a successful triangle port, with the advantage of offering 5 top-ups.

Hi @Emmabryant

That would unfortunately be correct, it wouldn’t be possible to transfer a number directly from one iD Mobile plan to another, a number coming into our network would need to come from a different network.
