New contract on new phone but the phone won't recognise the SIM

Just got a new phone contract(Xiaomi Note 11) and the phone won’t recognise the SIM.

When I try to register an account with IDmobile it asks for the ID mobile number which i cannot see because the sim won’t activate.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Normally your iD mobile number is on the SIM card packaging that held your iD SIM, or on the receipt you received with your plan.

Does the new iD SIM work in another phone? If not, then you’ll probably need a replacement SIM.

The quickest way to get a replacement iD SIM card is to get in-touch using the online chat service at https://idmobile.co.uk/live-chat.

The agents work until 8pm on weekdays.

You can also buy a replacement for £5 from Currys or Carphone Warehouse.

The number is not on the sim or the packaging, I had to find the number by calling a friend through WIFI and getting him to send me the number, I was then able activate the account online and also updated the phone, seems to work now.
