Question

rubbish network coverage

Absolute rubbish signals on this network. Both me and my wife changed to this network thinking it was a better deal. But paying for a service that in the main drops out when we’re at home is very expensive. Does anyone else have similar issues? I ask the question thinking I already know the answer.

Sounds like your old provider provided better coverage in the locations you mainly use your phone, @Karl Ballaam

Are you still within the cooling off period of your ‘new’ iD contract?

I have been an iD customer with 2 esims and the signal in North Cornwall is absolutely horrendous. Royal waste of time.

There’s only 4, currently main networks

Three

Vodafone

o2

EE

Vodafone and Three will merge soon, hopefully the signal will get better, the speeds in Leeds is very slow on Three

As much as I hate to say it, ID mobile can’t do anything about the signal, that’s down to Three, it is up to you to see what provider is the best in the areas you use your phone mostly

Hey there @Karl Ballaam & @Tim-Selena, we’re very sorry to hear about your coverage issues.

What’s your full postcodes and what phone do you both have please?

Also, how long have you had issues for?

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi,  yep with all.  Data is the worst.  Calls are really not too good either.

Hey there @Tim-Selena, very sorry to hear that. Have you tried restarting your phone, as well as resetting network settings?

Have you also tried a free replacement SIM card with us before?

Thanks,

Tyler

That is unfortunately unknown at the moment, However, it was stated that it will be within six months

Hi @Karl Ballaam  We're fixing an issue in this area at the moment and aim to have things back up-and-running as soon as possible.

We're sorry for any disruption this may cause and will add any further updates here - Improve Mobile Coverage | Check Mobile Coverage | iD Mobile Network

@Tim-Selena  there aren’t any issues reported in your area at the moment? Could you please try the SIM in a different handset and let us know how you get on? Do you have VolTe enabled?

HI, I have 2 esims in 2 different phones and they both are the same.  I have deleted and reinstalled both esims with no difference.

Hi Sian,

thank you for your comments, but I haven’t had a good signal soon after taking up my contract last June. Mt wife also joined at the same time and we both have the rubbish signals problem.

Hi @Karl Ballaam

Are you having coverage issues everywhere or just at your postcode?

You’ve been having coverage issues since you’ve joined with us, correct?

Anika

Hi Anika,

In particular my area, but also other areas at times. The other day I was at a friends in the same village. I could only get 3G, never mind 4 or 5G.

Hi @andewhite . Yes I was with Vodafone 😏. Should have stayed with them. False economy really with ID, lower costs and poor service now.

Whereabouts is this network cell sharing news been published, @L0rdvega

Although Vodafone UK and Three UK have merged, customers of MVNO businesses like iD Mobile may not see any benefits.

They’re not allowed to disallow MVNO connections on the new network

People on ID mobile are noticing new network access happening in their area, that they didn’t have before, mainly B20 at 15Mhz
