I am travelling to Italy tomorrow however past experiences with ID Mobile to Dubai, Portugal & Greece I have NOT been able to make or receive calls while abroad.

On the ID Mobile App → Roaming is turned ON

In theory, that’s all you need to do. However, some other advice would be to manually select and connect to the network instead of letting it do it automatically.
