Hi @Dave8837,

Welcome to the Community!

We understand that sometimes you will want to roam abroad for short periods of time. Our Roam Free feature is available to our UK resident customers who travel occasionally, rather than those living abroad. If over a 4-month period you spend 63 days or more in our free roaming destinations, you will be subject to further charges.

no,

i live permanently in the uk, but want to travel for 3 months/91 days through europe.

Can i use my roaming intermittently (switch it off for a fe days at a time) to spread the 63 days evenly over the three months?

No, you cannot do that.

disappointing answer
but a quick one, thanks

would it be ok to

just insert the sim card for 63 days then take it out and start using it again when home in the uk?

If you turn off the device or remove the SIM and don’t use it abroad after the 63 days, then you won’t incur further charges.
